What are Dependencies?

When writing software code, it is not uncommon for one piece of code to be dependent on another. A dependency is a piece of code that must run before or after the main body of code in order for an application to work properly. Dependencies are often classified as "required dependencies" and "optional dependencies", where required dependencies are absolutely necessary for an application to function properly, while optional dependencies may provide additional functionality or support that enhances the user experience but is not essential.

Additional topics related to dependencies include account creation, project setup, user management & authentication, and devops.
